Joe Cordero ran the 3000 meter run [second-silver], the mile [bronze-third] and the 800 meters [bronze-third] plus the 4x800 relay [gold] and the 4x400 relay with Blaine for the silver.
When more BTC members compete, more will come home with hardware and great memories, our club has many outstanding members and many developing members who show great promise.

Any one else who was there I cannot remember at the moment so my apologies this month for being so forgetful, you will be included in next month's news letter.

Don't forget our monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 18th.  I hope to see you there.

Joe

MEMBERSHIP NEWS

APRIL 2007

Bob and Estella Clasen recently visited Hawaii for a vacation.  The weather was perfect and the lifestyle was great for active people.  Hawaii is the healthiest state to live in because there is little industry.   Therefore the air and sky are clear and unpolluted.

We can see why Mary Trotto and Pat Satenstein spend so much time there.

I received a letter from Barbara Galpin.  Barbara moved to Florida several years ago.  She is as active as ever.  For the past three years she has been the captain of her swim team’s American Cancer Society Relay For Life.  Under her leadership her team has raised a record amount of money to fight this disease.

We give our condolences to Betty Horstman on the death of her mother, Mary Steinke.  Cards can be sent to 278 Gillette Ave., Bayport, NY 11705.

The BTC welcomes John Oakley and Dawn Testa into our club.

Please send items for membership to me at eclasen@optonline.net or call me at 803-0586.
