Over 50 of
our members partied hardy at our annual holiday bash on December 12th.
This affair was a success for a couple of reasons. First of all, the people make the party and the BTC members know
how to have a good time. Secondly,
there were members who were willing to give their time to help with the
party. It was a busy time of the year
but the party committee made some time for the club. I could not have done it alone.
Marge Smith was with me from the beginning as we checked out locations
for our holiday bash. Marge, Pat
Satenstein, and Mary Trotto had helped out at a race the morning of the party
and still managed to come to the VFW hall in Sayville to help decorate. Joan Ackerman made our table centerpieces,
and Ken Demulder and Susann Cuccia both donated baked goods. Joe Cordero and
Jim Casey brought a number of raffle prizes (everyone won something!). Their
donations certainly helped our budget.
I would
appreciate feedback on the party. If
people are happy with the location, then I would like to book it again for next
year as soon as possible.
We have a
number of new members I would like to welcome into the club. Our newest members are Pat Knecht, Pat
Delaney, Marcello Watson, Lisa Pellegrino, James Kuziw, and Robin and Michael O’Mahoney.

I am getting results off the internet so if you run a race that I may not be able to find and you
want me to print it, simply mail the results to me at fwh2@aol.com and I will be glad to include
it. Also, please be patient with me. If I miss you name in a result, just tell me and I will be glad
to add it the following month. Remember there are hundreds of runners in each race and I have
